These unique living meridian charts provide a stunning visual aid for all those interested in accurately locating acupuncture points. Meridians were drawn directly on a western body and then photographed, allowing students and practitioners to precisely see how the meridians and their associated points follow bodily contours in a realistic way. They have been designed so that most of the meridians are visible for their complete pathway.
That care that has been taken in producing these charts is evident in the easy to understand colour coded referencing system and in the use of the latest Traditional Chinese Medicine terminology from the World Health Organisation for meridian names. High resolution photography against a plain black ground completes these charts to give a highly professional finish.
With the charts divided into Yin and Yang aspects each chart comes with a coloured coded legend that also included a point categories key; listing the five phase points, yuan source points, xi cleft points, luo- connecting points and back shu points. The completed effect is dramatic.
My congratulations to Thankam Rydstrand and her team for providing such a wonderful learning tool that will be appreciated by students and practitioners alike.
